Product managers are like the team captain for one aspect of a software or app. They’re responsible for both contributing to the roadmap of new features and maintaining the app or software, all while balancing what customers indicate they need and want. The role involves a lot of coordination and working with backend and frontend developers, designers, copywriters, and of course, the other product teams!

Describe what you do here at Milli:
I am a Product Manager for Team Acquire. Our team is responsible for creating an exceptional customer experience while applying for an account with Milli.
Why did you join Milli?
I believed in the product, and that I can help people spend smarter and save more. And I loved the people!
How did you get into this career field?
I started in the mortgage industry and worked my way into being a Product Owner for onboarding new third-party vendors.
Are you more of a spender, or saver?
If I’m answering, I’m a saver. If my husband is answering, I’m a spender.
What’s your favorite aspect of the Milli app?
Jars. Jars. Jars. My short-term personal goals become reality using Jars. I use them for big and small goals; weekend beach trips, big trips to Cancun, a new couch, even to the smallest things like getting myself new workout attire. They give me a huge boost of confidence when I set the goal, see it moving and then to get that “congratulations”, it makes me want to create a Jar for everything. Jars are also great because they keep my emergency savings separate so that I don’t confuse my “we need a new water furnace” money from my “I need a little getaway” money.
What’s a personal financial milestone that you’re working toward?
Taking my niece on a high school graduation trip to New Orleans!
What is your favorite hobby?
Making flower arrangements and thinking of ways to improve my house so I never have to leave.
What is your favorite food?
Pasta. You can never have enough carbs!
Where is a place you want to travel?
Sardinia, Italy. Not to be confused with sardines.
What is a book you would highly recommend?
Leading with the Heart – Coach K. Bringing out the best and demanding the best, from ourselves and others.
What is a quotation you live by?
“You get what you get and don’t throw a fit.”
This is a recent quote that my husband and I adopted as we navigate raising a 3.5 year old. But it rings true for any age and something my Dad instilled in me… deal with whatever is thrown at you head-on and don’t make excuses.
